Polypro hoops are a dream to flow with and are highly utilized among hoop dancers, flow artists, circus performers and all skill levels in the realm of hoop tricks. It’s responsiveness makes it ideal for refining hoop tricks for precision without being cumbersome. From on-body hooping to off-body, polypro hoops are appealing to a wide range of hoopers.

Finding your right hoop size can be a bit confusing, but it’s a good idea to determine what style of hooping you may be interested in.

For on-body flow, you might want to consider your measurement from the floor to Hip Height or Belly Button Height. A typical range for core hooping is approximately 32”-38”. Keep in mind that smaller hoops have a faster rotation.

Off-body flow usually requires smaller hoops, suitable for tricks such as Isolations, Folds, or even starting out on your doubles flow. Think about the length of your arm, from wrist to armpit to find a good size. You can also consider your inseam, if moves like wedgies and escalators are some of the tricks you may want to practice. Mid-thigh height can be great to use to measure your hoops. For off-body hooping, we see a range of sizes between 28”-32” for beginners. 3/4” is often ideal for starting out because it’s thicker than 5/8”, which helps you build the muscles in your hands for control.
